The ceremony starts at 1pm, but you are welcome to arrive as early as 11 if you would like to explore the zoo beforehand!

There is plenty of parking at the main (North) entrance of the zoo at a flat rate of $13 per car for the day.

The zoo is also located on Calgary Transit’s Blue C-Train line at the Calgary Zoo station. Currently, it is $3.70 per person for an adult ticket (90 min trip).

Keep in mind that there is a bit of a walk from the main entrance to the Enmax Conservatory/Dorothy Harvie Gardens where the ceremony and reception will be held.

Admission is free for guests! When you arrive at the gates, simply let an employee know you're attending the Hibbert/Hammond wedding. We recommend you bring a copy of your invitation along, just in case.

The dress code is Garden Casual. Have fun with colorful prints and patterns, light flowy fabrics, and other summery styles. The wedding party will also be going for a 1950’s vibe, so feel free to have fun with that as well!

The reception will be at 5pm but to limit waiting around, use this time to explore the zoo! If you are planning to do this, make sure you bring good walking shoes that you can put on to save your feet, and save your heels/dress shoes for when the reception starts!

Currently, the ceremony is set to be held outside so we can enjoy the August weather and the gardens! Calgary weather is incredibly unpredictable and often changes quickly. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors. Please make sure to check the forecast and dress appropriately, as we can not guarantee consistent weather.

There is a saying here: “if you don’t like the weather, wait 20 minutes!”

The ceremony and reception will be hosted at the Enmax Conservatory (16 on map) and the Dorothy Harvie Gardens. They are fairly centrally located. To find them, stay on the main path and cross the bridge. If you stay on the main path the gardens are hard to miss! There should also be a sign up when you get there indicating where we will be!

The great news is that most of the food offered is already Gluten and Dairy friendly with some vegan options as well! The food will also be labeled to make it easy to navigate.

Please indicate any allergies for each guest when submitting your RSVP. This ensures we can notify our venue for food handling and preparation considerations!

We are so glad you are excited and want to share photos with friends and family, but we would love it if you remain present in the moment! We will be having an unplugged ceremony and would love to be able to see everyone’s faces - not devices. We have a photographer that will be taking pictures and they will be posted to our website as soon as they are available!
